ABOUT

ME!

Welcome!

I'm a fourth-year doctoral student (PhD candidate) of sociolinguistics at the University of Pittsburgh focusing on language and identity. My research encompasses variationist and discursive approaches to how people use language in relation to how they view themselves and other people. I mostly focus on the endangered Istanbul Greek dialect, and try to balance ethnographic fieldwork with sociophonetic approaches to studying language contact and change.
